Public Radio East Regular Commentator Marion Blackburn

Marion Blackburn is a writer who grew up on a farm in Edgecombe County and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill.  She studied and worked in France and in
Prague, Czech Republic, where she worked as a freelance writer and English teacher.

These days she lives in Greenville with her husband, Greg, a photographer, along with three dogs, three cats, bluebirds, possums and other critters who expect her to feed them.

Her favorite writers are Dostoyevsky, Jack Kerouac and Flannery O'Connor, and she probably reads more gossip magazines than she ought to.
