Event Description

Ever wonder what life was like on the homefront in the 1870s? Then bring a snack or picnic lunch and join us the Tarheel Civilians present Life on the Homefront. Spend time with the members of this group as they carry us back in time with demonstrations of natural dyeing, spinning, quilting and more. Also spend time with a blacksmith and learn the art of shaping metal. Then try your hand at quilling (the art of taking thin strips of paper, of varying widths, and rolling, gluing and shaping them into different shapes).
