Chris Baio was the music director at his college radio station and in a band while studying at Columbia. Seems like a typical indie college-kid story — except that his band was none other than Vampire Weekend.
Baio lives in London now, and while he's still a member of Vampire Weekend, he has brought his love of pop and DJing to his first solo album, The Names. In this session, Baio plays one song on guitar before stepping behind the decks to perform a more electronic-flavored track from The Names.
