New Bern, NC – This week on the Down East Journal, a new partnership between a local community college and a non-profit community services organization is putting people to work in the East. And, officials in Pamlico County are seeking an extension of an April 1st deadline for residents living in FEMA trailers while awaiting repairs on their Hurricane Irene-damaged homes.
