Lily & Madeleine's latest video is a transfixing and strangely twisted fairy tale that unfolds slowly in a world of ice and snow. "Blue blades, sharper than knives beneath my feet," the two sing before plunging into a frozen sea. "Graze my skin so fine, but cut so deep."
"'Blue Blades' is one of our favorite songs on Fumes," Madeleine Jurkiewicz tells us via email. "The inspiration for the lyrics began with a strange dream Lily had, so we wanted to kind of make her dream come to life in the video."
The young sisters from Indianapolis released their second full-length album, a collection of sweet folk-pop songs, last fall on Asthmatic Kitty.
