In the first installment of a weekly series looking at Senate races across the country, Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson turns to Arkansas, where one of the most intense Senate races in the nation is playing out.

Incumbent Democrat Mark Pryor is being challenged by Republican Congressman Tom Cotton. The two candidates and outside groups have already spent nearly $18 million.

Michael Hibblen of KUAR in Little Rock, Arkansas, joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson to discuss the race, which has been full of personal attacks from both sides.
