Diabetes is a growing concern for North Carolinians, especially for people who live in the eastern part of the State where studies have shown diabetes cases are rampant. East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine is looking to curb the obesity rate by offering people who live in rural areas access to health care specialists using new telemedicine methods.
