Joseph Anton: A Memoir, by Salman Rushdie

On Monday, October 8, NPR's All Things Considered host Robert Siegel will be in conversation with world renowned author Salman Rushdie at the Lisner Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

The conversation will focus on Rushdie's newly published work, Joseph Anton: A Memoir, which details the nine years the author spent in hiding after a fatwa was issued in 1989 calling for his execution.

This event will provide a peek behind the curtain at the life of the man responsible for such works as Midnight's Children, The Satanic Verses, Shalimar the Clown, and Luka and the Fire of Life among others.

Tickets are now available for this conversation, which is co-sponsored by Politics and Prose along with The Center for Inquiry-DC.
